Cowboy Troy is Moving "Down The Line"

After nearly 20 years in the music industry, Cowboy Troy is still showing his fans and everyone who listens to good country music that he still has what it takes to be a big name in the music industry. Cowboy Troy released his first major label studio album in 2005, a long play album titled, Loco Motive. It debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart and Troy has only improved his craft since then.

Just recently, Cowboy Troy has released yet another heartfelt single to all music listeners. “Down The Line” is another addition to Troy’s dozens of released singles and his second track release of 2023. This particular track is an ode to heartbreak and the grueling recovery process. The longing speed of the tempo resemble the slow footsteps that it takes to truly heal from a broken heart, exclaimed by Cowboy Troy when he vocalized “Pick my heart up, dust it off, and I’ll be fine.”

In verse two, Troy remarks about the acceptance of a break up. You can hear the pure emotion in the voice of Cowboy Troy as he utters the heartbreaking lyrics “you can have feelings even though you both know it don’t fit.” The backing instrumentals, with the prominent guitar, only make the song more personal for every listener.

“Down The Line” will bring up all of the soft emotions to anyone who gives it a listen. After hearing lyrics paired with Troy’s voice, perfectly executed supporting instruments (including a passionate mid song guitar solo), there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Cowboy Troy didn’t put his everything into this track.
