Starting her career in 2014 to now growing her Spotify monthly listeners to well over 69,000,000 listeners, SZA is continuing to show that she a a powerful-female figure in the music industry. SZA, who’s real name is Solána Imani Rowe, is continually proving to people why she is a complete powerhouse in the R&B/Soul genre. Her latest album SOS has broken numerous amount of records putting her on top of the charts and everyone’s playlists. SOS was No. 1 on the Billboard charts for nine nonconsecutive weeks and six consecutive weeks, making it the first R&B album to reach that kind of accomplishment since Usher’s 2004 album Confessions.

“Kill Bill” is the leading single off of the singer latest album. This song since has become an extremely popular sound of different social platforms like TikTok and Instagram. The song tells of SZA planning to achieve vengeance over her ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend. The song opens with sounds of dissonance note pitches that send the artist into an uncomfortable state that is then followed by a drum beat and SZA calm and confident voice. Despite knowing that killing her ex is “not the best idea” she admits doing everything for the love she has for him. Despite the eerie vibes given from this song, they do not take away from the beauty of the written lyrics and passion behind SZA’s voice.
