Worldwide Sensation "BTS" set to release new album this Friday

BTS, the international K-pop sensation that started back in 2013, took an indefinite hiatus back in 2022 to focus on mandatory military service and solo projects. But in June 2025, they reunited and are now set to release their new album "ARIRANG" this Friday. Fans have been frothing at the mouth in anticipation for a new BTS release and they will get their dreams fulfilled soon!

BTS first formed back in 2010 with founder of Big Hit Entertainment (now known as HYBE Corporation) Bang Si-hyuk putting together a group centered around singer Kim Nam-joon, also known as RM. Si-hyuk's vision was for the group to have a more authentic approach instead of the processed, generic polished idol model.

This is pretty common in the Kpop industry as a lot of groups are formed by big executives and other influential people in the industry. What isn't normal is that he let them do their own projects on the side, which is not typical for Kpop bands. But this BTS stand out.

Si-hyuk would rangle the other members that include V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope and Suga. Together, they became BTS and released their first ever project in 2013 called, "2 Cool 4 Skool". Although this wasn't an instant massive hit, it established the band and got their loyal fanbase. It wasn't until 2017 where BTS would breakthrough into the global stratosphere with their hits "DNA" and "Mic Drop". They would go on to win Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards. From there, they have been an international sensation.

But after 2022, they went silent due to the hiatus. But they are now roaring back to life with their new album coming out this Friday. With their massive pop sound, groovy jams, and vibrant fanbase, BTS will be in the spotlight for the foreseeable future. After they release their newest album, they are going to go on a massive world tour called, "The Arirang World Tour". This will be to promote their newest album and they will be starting in Goyang-si, South Korea on April 9th, 2026.
