Bea Miller released her newest EP Elated! last Friday, and it's a compilation of honest, enticing tracks that are sure to get stuck in your head. The EP contains tracks that mirror sounds of Billie Eilish, Julia Michaels, and Maggie Lindemann with her own unique sound that makes for a groovy, bright project overall.
The EP contains 7 tracks, and a fresh version of her breakout song "Feel Something Different" with rapper Aminé. The original went viral on TikTok earlier this year and sparked a challenge inspired by the show Euphoria and explores the overall numbness many of the platform's users relate to in today's time. The new version includes an additional verse from Aminé and fresh sounds on the backing track, making for a more upbeat and lively chorus. Other tracks include themes of love, politics, and growing up. The first single released from the project, "Wisdom Teeth," contains witty lyrics which correlate getting her wisdom teeth removed to losing her intelligence and childhood. Most of the tracks are upbeat and effect-heavy, except for "Self Crucify." The final track on the EP explores self-destruction and self-forgiveness in an emotional ballad. Overall, throughout the album her lyrics are honest and authentic to her core - Miller didn't hold back at all for this project.
Elated! is Miller's first full-length release since her release of Aurora back in 2018. The 21 year old pop artist announced that she plans to release a music video for each track - "Wisdom Teeth" was the first released, a week before the EP dropped.
