Katrina Burgoyne Follows her Dreams in the Music Video for "25 Cents in the Ashtray"

Australian artist Katrina Burgoyne is chasing her dream - she moved all the way to the other side of the globe to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in country music, and her single "25 Cents in the Ashtray" tells the story of her journey.

The music video released on September 17th follows Burgoyne driving in a retro

Chevrolet truck down a quiet country backroad at sunset. The video alternates between clips of her jamming alone in the truck and dancing with her guitar in hand on the road. She reflects on her venture in Nashville when she first arrived with just "25 cents in the ashtray," as her title describes, singing lyrics reminiscing about having a "quarter tank on a highway / dreamin' of someday." Filmed & produced by her boyfriend Stephen Kinney, the video is a stunning visual accompaniment to her story, utilizing the light and scenery beautifully.

While the singer-songwriter is just starting to make her name in the Nashville scene, Burgoyne is no stranger to the international music world. She's had cuts on top-charting songs in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. She's quickly growing her fanbase in Nashville, and there is no doubt the hardworking artist will have great success. You can watch her music video for "25 Cents in the Ashtray" below:
