Matt Oakley Has 95 Problems, but a Party Isn't One of Them

Updated: 12 minutes ago

As of November 1, migrant musician Matt Oakley has released "Party on 95", a must-add to all of your road trip playlists.

A product of his roots, Matt Oakley is never one to stray away from a little adventure. Growing up with a parent in the military, the artist developed resilience and an appreciation for a change in scenery early on. In fact, "Soldier's Son", the predecessor to Oakley's newest release, details just that, with Oakley stating that the song "summarizes what it meant to be the son of a soldier, the things he taught me, and the gratitude I share for all that serve."

As Oakley got older, he took matters into his own hands, developing a new sense of what it meant to embrace the journey. "'Party on 95' is exactly what it sounds like," he states, "A road trip anthem I wrote about all the times me and my buddies packed up the truck to hit Florida for spring break. The song is about not waiting until you get to your location to start the party."
