Future Releases First Full Length Album Since 2022, "The Real Me"

Over the past decade, Future has established himself as one of the most powerful voices in contemporary hip-hop. Since breaking into the mainstream in the early 2010s, the Atlanta rapper has now released over forty projects. 

In over fifteen years of releasing music, he has remained one of hip-hop's biggest names by turning each new project into an event for both his longtime fan base and the rap community at large. In his latest album, “The Real Me,” Future continues to showcase the sound that has helped make him one of the most recognizable artists in hip-hop.

The 22-track project marks Future's tenth solo studio album and his first solo full-length release in four years. Released without any guest features, the album made an immediate impact, debuting at No. 1 on Apple Music's All Genres chart while earning the No. 1 Global Album Debut on Spotify and surpassing 51.5 million first-day streams worldwide.

Instead of telling one story or having one idea, the album is a collection of songs tied together by recurring themes of self-reflection, loneliness despite fame, and emotional conflict. The title hints that the album is about the difference between Future’s public image and the person that he actually is.
