Last night, Jay-Z was scheduled to perform at Yankee Stadium in NYC at 8:00 PM ET, but he didn’t take the stage until approximately 12:17 AM. The more than four-hour delay was a consequence of hundreds of fans without tickets rushing the gates, storming past peaceful ticket holders and, in some cases, breaching security.

Safety concerns forced the stadium to keep its gates closed until security regained control of the venue's entry points with the help of the NYPD. Fans holding tickets were left outside waiting for hours.

When Jay-Z finally took the stage, he apologized to fans for the delay, stating that he could not start the show while thousands of people were still waiting to get inside. He also expressed concern for the fans' safety.

Really sorry for the inconvenience, but I had to make sure everybody was OK.”  - Jay-Z

Despite the late start, the concert proceeded smoothly and included unexpected guests like Rihanna, Beyoncé, and USHER. This event was the last day of Jay-Z's three-day concert at Yankee Stadium for the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.

There have been no reports of any arrests made by the New York Police Department.
