Famed and beloved rapper Baby Keem is set to release his new album on Friday, February 20, 2026. This will be his first album in 5 years since his last major hit release, "The Melodic Blue" with the smash hit song off of that album being "Family Ties" with Kendrick Lamar. "Family Ties" became an anthem for an entire generation of rap fans and music connoisseurs.
Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr., also known as Baby Keem, first blew up on the scene back in 2019 with his hit, "Orange Soda" off of his first mixtape called, "DIE FOR MY BITCH". But it wasn't until the afformentioned, "Family Ties" did he truly break into the mainstream. It got so big that he would go on to win a Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 2022, his only Grammy win to date. But ever since the release of "The Melodic Blue," outside of some features, the main one being with Kendrick Lamar in 2022 on "Savior" off of Kendrick's Grammy winning album, "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers," it has been radio silent in the Baby Keem camp. Until February 11, 2026.
He made a shock announcement that the vinyl for his new album called, "Ca$ino" was now available. This blew up all over social media as people were losing their minds over the new release. Also, unlike rappers like Playboi Carti, who kept on teasing an album for years and then delaying it over and over again, Baby Keem announced it a little over a week before it is set to release. It's the exact same thing Tyler, the Creator did with his two most recent albums, "Chromakopia" and "Don't Tap the Glass" where he announced it roughly 2 weeks before the release of the album. A lot of rap fans are grateful for this especially after the whole Playboi Carti debacle.
On Baby Keem's Instagram, he released a series of promotional videos with videos of him when he was a kid and what we can assume are snippets of songs off of the album. He also announced a listening party on February 19th, 2026 at 11PM ET/8PM PT on his YouTube channel. This album will mark not only his triumphant return to music, but it will mark his second official studio album. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see if the 5 year wait was worth it.
